- 2000 ford explorer
hey hows it going im new here just signed up bought my 2000 ford explorer v6 sohc AWD just over 3 weeks ago did all sorts of tuneups, from spark plugs/wires, oil filter oil change, new thermostat housing and sensors, all new green coolant,, belt tensioner and idler pulleys, well over this last weekend when i did the thermostat it was a pita ill tell you that, i had to take it off the ramps and push it backwards turning the wheel and pushing it forwards turning the wheel and moving it a few times, and then put on a flat bed to get it home, not a fun job.... so its all done burped the cooling system runs good, now i get to driving it and as soon as i park it i go upstairs for awhile and come outside to put the explorer in reverse i feel like the wheels are gon fall off as soon as i turn the wheel and backing out it shakes/shutters.... driving forwards there is no problems i feel like... is there air in the power steering lines, im gonna go take the cap off and turn the wheel side to side, i just been reading and reading but didnt know if the tow truck guy ####ed it up by not being gentle and just being arragant when you came... i need some ideas and some help here this makes me nervous i feel like the tranny ####ed up but its when i turn backing out of a space the car was moved alot with the engine off over the weekend, pushed, raised, up and down more then a few times .. thanks everybody besides that the car just drove perfect the lowest speeds would not even feel anything or slow speed turning, no high speed shake, the car feels like its mint you dont even feel it shifting but the AWD i noticed is alot nice of a ride the the 2wd i feel like....
