I have a 2000 SOHC that has had a long history with a 1st cylinder misfire, about 7 thousand miles ago a timing kit was put on it along with new plugs, wires, and coil. The problem still persisted and I could get away with putting a new plug in and the misfire disapear for a few months until it came back and I would put a new plug in. A few weeks ago the code came back but a new plug wouldn't fix it, so I took upper and lower manifolds off, I replaced all 3 injectors on bank 1, new fuel rail, I found that the knock sensor's wires right before the connector were stripped to bare copper so I replaced that as well, and put new gaskets on the manifolds. Now I have codes P1132, P1130, and P0172 along with P0301 misfire code. The idle is rough and when the engine revs I can hear air being sucked in but all the hoses are connected to the upper intake, no fuel is leaking, and I can't find any cuts on any hoses so I am at a loss of where the problem is.

Sure you got the intakes installed without a gasket becoming misaligned? The upper intake can be kind of tricky getting seated correctly while guiding the EGR tube into it.

I think I may have gotten a lower O-ring misaligned, I've taken the upper off 3 times and reinstalled with the same results, it will be coming a part again tomorrow so we'll see
