Anyone try the RoadMaster Active suspension "shocks". They mount in a horizontal position and seem an alternative to a helper leaf. I am looking to retain rear ride height (only 2 in or so) when towing the boat. But dont really want to install an add-a-leaf and deal with the reduced ride comfort.

Any first hand experience with this product would be appreciated.

I put a set on my Navajo about 4 years ago. I was having trouble with the truck swaying back & forth at interstate speeds (65 to 80 mph). They hepled a little, but I should follow that statement with a few facts on my truck. At the time it had 150,000 miles on it, original springs, 5.5" of lift and 50,000 miles on the cheep gas shocks that came with the lift when I put them on. As I said they did help, but when I replaced the shocks it all came together.

I have since removed them from the Navajo and put them on my 89 Range. They have made a big difference on it (it needs shocks too). I have not really loaded or towed anything with the Range, so I'm sure if they have made any difference in that department.
