well, after having patched the front cats on my 00 XLS a few years ago, they are once again falling apart. this time im leaning toward buying new bolt on pipes with the cats . interestingly, autozone offers magnaflow as well as bozal
magnaflow advertises their products to be 100% 409 stainless steel not sure what bozals are contstructed of a/z offers 3 year warranty on the mags, and 5 on the bozal. ive never heard of bozal. im assuming a/z has more confidence in bozal, anyway, in short, im interested in what others have found, I could order up more stainless sheet and patch these cats, but for the time and mig wire im thinking its a wash for what new ones cost. im betting others have faced this issue, so just looking for advice. no im not gonna cut them off, the ones on the truck work fine, but theyre only gonna get louder
