Mod: K&N drop in.

Plugs done 10K ago, oil change every 3k, wires ????, fuel filter not yet, K&N cleaned last week.

Problem: Right after I start it seems like it wants to die. Real low idle allmost cuts off, Sounds like it is strugling for air. After a few minutes it goes back to normal?( Hi idle until it warms up) I drive allot about 900 miles a week. I have been trying to keep up with the maint.

Clean the IAC. Also, may want to check on the intake manifold o-rings. not sure if yours was built early enough to be covered, but 00M12 extended warranty work may need to be done if IAC cleaning doesn't help.

Also it does not do it all of the time, Maybe every once a week it does it.

Does it happen when the weather is colder? What position is the HVAC selector in when it happens?

It doesnt matter if it is cold or warm it does it random. I am not sure what you mean when you say hvac selector. Can you please describe to me. Thanks.

HVAC = Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning

I'm having this same problem...doesn't matter where the HVAC is positioned. if you rev it up while this is occuring it revs normally just when you let it go back to idle the problem comes back. if the truck is already warmed up then there is not a problem, it starts fine. if you rev it to 2-3,500 grand a few times it helps clear up the problem faster. I'm at a loss as to what to do, MAF possibly? My IAC is brand new and my EGR is disabled via PCM reprogramming via Doug904. The problem was much worse before when the EGR was en-abled but it was the opposite: it only did the rough idle when the truck was warmed up not when cold.
