hi
Got another problem with the Ex!!
As I drive it has what I can only describe as a rough feel from front of car, harsh and not smooth as it once was. Not seriously bad but worrying.
Car has had new front tyres, wheels balanced, shocks, hubs, pads, antiroll bar bushes and links, ball joints. All other bushes look good. Tracking checks fine. No pulls to one side, roughness apparent from slow and upwards.
Only thing I can think off(only thing left!) is driveshaft(s)?
Any views offered?

hi the only thing left is the drive shafts the diff or front prop joints. cheers chris

Do you get this when going in a straight line, when turning or both? Mine has a "rough feeling" when turning under power. However, on full lock, it is less bad than on slight lock! Jury is still out on this. When Justin had the car for to do the timing chains back in March, he did say it was possibly to do with the diff but didn't elaborate at the time as to possible cuases or which diff. It's a difficult feeling to describe. It reminds me of the "feeling" I used to get in my old 109" Landrover when I forgot to disengage the diff locks. Judging by it's behaviour though, I don't think that the Ex is locked in 4WD. GRoB.

Forgot to say that the roughness is less evident as the speed increases even on turning.

hi its straight line or turn.
Dont think its diff wind up under turning.
This is my 3rd explorer and not a normal feel.
like a slight vibration through the wheel.
Anyone know how to diagnose a duff driveshaft?
See both sides up on ebay at around £100 each for new.
