Here's one for ya'll. Right after I bought the explorer with 100K on it the timing chain tensioner went bad. So I got the update kit and installed it and that went away. Well right before I fixed that the P0430 code which is "catalyst Efficiency below threshold (bank 2)". So my ford mechanic buddy said it might be the tensioner throwing the timing off a little? So I reset the computer and it came back on, plus it had always had a rough idle. So I figured the cheapest thing to do is change the fuel filter, so once I did that (which is a PITA without the "good" tool, not the POS Napa plastic things) I reset the computer and it hasn't come back on and runs great and gets great gas mileage, pulled 19 mpg down to Indy this weekend. So now all I need to do is figure out my T Case problem and replace a lower front balljoint and she should be good to go! :smoke:
