trying to find a replacement rubber elbow . I ordered the "part" I was told to order and it is the wrong one. The piece they sent me was KCV - 240 and I need the KCV 129. In researching this on this forum I found that the part I need was replaced with the other. Is it possible that they sent me the whole assembly? If so, how do I know?

On most of these PCV hoses you can't get the rubber elbows without getting the entire assembly. There are certain hoses that you can get the elbow sererate but they are very few. I think you got the wrong one. I am not sure if you saw this in an earlier question posted in this forum. What is the Ford part number on the part you got. I think you got base part number 6C324 or 6758. So you know there are 2 types.

KCV-140 is a twist in style valve
KCV-129 is a push in style valve

the part number base 6A664 is still the same but different style hose which means they change styles in that model year.

Here is a link to to Ford Parts where you can look up the parts and gives pictures. You can plug in your vin or do it by model and year. It will give you base number and Motorcraft number if available. Thats how I found out about the 2 different hoses. Here is the link:
