i only saw it mentioned a few times....when i am on a long trip my car idles bad and dies or stalls at lights....it is my o2 sensors...i need to replace them.....try it and see if it helps

Try replacing O2 sensors and check your timing chain for slack and/or wear.

My '97 Dies at will PLEASE HELP???

I own a '97 XLT 4.0 OHV 4x4. The problem is it'll almost stall out when going from a stop sign or light, left or right it doesn't matter. Not to mention it only happens every now and again! I've changed the coil pak plugs&wires(ACCEL) all fluids and filters, cleaned the MAS and the injectors. It doesnt idle rough runs strong even. Just every now & then a heavy stutter/ stall but it never dies?! Took it to Ford they didnt have a clue and didnt want to waste my $ on testing that may show nothing except my empty wallet. If anyone has the answer they will be my new best friend and on my X-MAS list!!!!!
