I was searching off and on for help with my 97 Explorer XLT 5.0 rough idle. It starts and fast idles for 10 - 20 sec. then gradually drops RPMs and eventually stops. I've replaced the MAF and tested the Idle Control Valve and read 10 ohms across the terminals, 11.8 vdc with the ignition ON. I read infinity ohms on both terminals to the valve housing. I removed the unit and the valve did not actuate when connecting the terminal and the switch ON. If I apply battery voltage to the terminals the valve actuates. Where do I looks now?
