As I accelerate through the first three gears there seems to be what sounds like a grinding noise and a very rough ride. Once it shifts into fourth the noise goes away the the transmission is much smoother.
I have seen the post about the transmission jolt in reverse and my Explorer does the same thing. I am wondering if these are related. It seems as if they would be. Any thoughts?
