I have a 97 explorer SOHC V6 with the 5 speed auto transmission and when traveling about 70-80mph after a few hundred miles the truck starts to rev high and bucks as if it is governed down. It appears to do this mostly during highway driving. I have no malfunction indicator lights showing. It also seems to get worse when the temp is colder outside. I have had a diagnostics test and replaced the transmission cntrl switch but nothing has changed and no codes show up.
I thought about the throttle position sensor, but I don't know if it is an engine or tranny problem. If you have any insight on this matter please reply.

i would say get an aux trans cooler and flush it with synthetic
