Hi all - I did have a perfect condition rubber strip where the handbrake lever sits in the center console, it looks like it is bonded onto the grey plastic and the lever pokes through it and it stops fluff and other debris getting into the base of the handbrake lever or it could just be cosmetic! Anyway, I left my 2 kids in the car while I paid for fuel and when I came back one of them has pulled at one side of this rubber flap and it has torn about 5 inches to the top of the section - very annoying! Does anyone know if this is replacable and or if they can be bought? Only a minor thing I know but I have an OCD about things being right lol.

Hi,

The part is available as a seperate item. I wouldn't imagine many places would sell it outside of Ford and I expect most used items would be damaged anyway.

Try ringing Ford and asking for Finis: 4167258 and please let us know the price if you do.

Yes, this is damaged on every Explorer I have ever seen, I have an office cleaning company and my window cleaners rubber strips look like they will fit the channel....I have yet to try it- but I will and let you all know.

Thanks all - Chris did have a good one apprently so I have purchased and will see what is involved in fitting it once it arrives - cheers all :)
