Purchased my explorer a little over a week ago, just noticed what appears to be a grey rubber foam creating a gap in the seal. I pushed it in a little which I realize I shouldn’t have done. Not noticing any leaks into the interior yet but will still most likely take to the dealer, just looking for some opinions of what this could be?

Poor installation of the part. It’s covered under your 3/36, so Dealer should fix that without any issues or cost to you.

On that door window triangle. the buttom right part of rubber sometimes keeps coming off but I just press it in place.

Sent the pictures to the dealer and they are going to set up a time to fix the issue, will be the second time in less than two weeks it’s been back at the dealer. Within 2 hours of driving it off the lot for the first time I got white smoke coming from under the hood and a distinct coolant smell. Had it towed up to the dealer, turned out to be a loose coolant hose clamp. Hopefully this is the last of my issues lol

What’s all the junk rammed in the seal?

They will probably need to take the door apart and then remove the fixed quarter window and seal. Unfortunately it is all one piece. Hopefully they will put it together right.
