running too cold

I have a 92 explorer sport with 4.oL It's been running very cold I figure it's a thermostsat but I can't figure out how to get at the bolts to change it any help would be great

Just change out the one on my 93, was running too cold to but it wasn,t the thermostat it was the sending unit,

first i would drain the radiator and then remove the air intake tube in front of the fan you should be able to get to it threw the fan with a 3" extension there should only be 3 bolts on it but i would also remove the radiator hose to, and the fan belt help out alot to, whole job only took about an hr. hope this helps you out
