nah, I would recon no good.
I have nothing to back that up out side of reason though.

saw that get installed on two guy's garage on tv once. Can't say if it actually works or not, the theory's sound, but we all know how that goes. Buy one and let us know in about 10 years:D

:chug: :chug:

i wouldnt go for it.

BTW, missed you @ the dunes.

It works for boats, don't see why it wouldn't work for cars.

I've never considered rust to be a big problem on cars and trucks though. I guess it could be for older ones.

it might work.....once i heard any two metals touching causes a small electric charge and that helps causes rust/corrosion.....so it might stop that electric charge...i dunno

oxygen is the #1 cause of rust, salt/dirt just promote it. want it rust free? keep it in a vacuum. :D

yeah, I remember in college studying how if two different metals came into contact there was an electrical charge between them that caused/sped up corrosion. I say give it a go.

:chug: :chug:

Just to be a smart a$$...but there is no such thing as a true vacuum!

Haha, its easy to say that when you live in Florida, isn't it :p Move up here to NE and I'll personally show you how rust is a problem.

Hmm, so nobody has tried one of these? I had a shop teacher in HS that swore by one of these things, but that doesnt say much, he was kinda goofy...I just happend to see one the other day. I may actually try it, still looking for some actual "Yep been usin one for years, it works great" evidence...

If you read through this thread, Rust Inhibitors near the end you will see that LD50 is running a test right now. He promised to report the findings in 2013 ;)

you want a yup they work, been using one for years and its great?

some people also on this site say the same thing about the electric superchargers or the tornado power intakes

Here's a quick, and very basic, lesson on corrosion.

There are 4 basic types:
Galvanic (dissimilar metals in contact with each other)
Stress (combination of cracking with corrosive elements)
Intercrystalline (corrosion at grain boundaries)
Surface (as the name implies)

Any company that can claim they can stop corrosion by hooking up to your battery, I would be wary of. If it was that simple they would make a fortune selling their product to aircraft and vehicle manufacturers!

Bashman - every boat motor sold these days has anodes (in a few places) hooked up to the battery to stop rust. They work really well.
