scratches??

I got some scratches on the passenger side of my explorer from some bushes. They aren't very deep and I was wondering how to go about buffing them out. What to use etc... Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah the GS-27 is the way to go, but I wouldn't waste your time with the crayons... only the paste is worth the time. Just remember don't press too hard.

scratches on hoood

When i bought my car, it must of been the morrons at packey webb ford who put my car through this car wash to get all the snow off the top and the dirt off the side. When it came out i noticed all these really small white scratches that were on the hood. They are so tiny and there are a lot of them. I was wondering any way that I would be able to get rid of these scratches? Thanx!

Jas84, what color is your car? If it's white like mine, then those scratches would be similar to swirl marks, or scratches in the clearcoat. Try Meguiars commercial swirl mark remover or Zaino bros Swirl Mark Remover, both will work. I've uses the meguiars and it worked pretty well. The scrathes aren't totally gone but you can't see them as much . If it's not white, try these two products anyway. As for GS-27, I've never had it work, but guys on this forum say it works so I would trust them. If those two products don't work, the only way to have them removed completely is to professionally buff them, but it will destroy the clearcoat, at least I think it will. Or you could try touch up paint, but I don't think it's ever even like the original paint and your paint might have faded. Hope someone has a better understanding of the buffing and the touch up paint. Hope I was some help.
