I have a problem withe the sealing ligts in the front consol, they wont turn off. I guess that they are some how conected to the doors but when I close all dors the "open door" warning in the instument panel turns off but not the sealing lights. I have tried to take down the consol but I can seem to find out how. So pleas if someone have any idea on what to do, pleas chare.... bouth on how to get down the consol and what it could be that makes the lights not turn off when they sholud.

the dimmer switch is probably turned all the way up. Roll it down. Its on the left side of the steering wheel.

there are buttons on those lights too. I assume you checked those?

Bout the buttons, yes I have tried them and they don't have any effect on the light at all. The dimmer swith? If I turn that one down the lights on the dash will also turn off, or is there something else you mean?

if you go all the way up, it clicks...that will leave the lights on, if you go just slightly down, it will click out of that, the lights will not be dim, and all will be good.

no door ajar lights on? Make sure tailgate and glass are closed good.

OK, I had a look and yes I see what you mean withe the "click" but no, it's not in that position, I can use the dimmer but the sealing ligts wont turn off.

open and close all doors, including the tailgate glass, and tailgate.

take the bulbs out. ;)

Yes I can do that... but I rather see that I can get the freakin lights to work again rather than just take the bulbs out and let the car get the better of me.

check the door switch. might be defective.

true but I would think the door ajar light would stll be on unless its the hatch switch...

Tanx all for your interset, I got mad at the car yesterday and riped down the sealing panel and good for me that's the right way to dismount is :). any way I measured on the cables and got two cables live withe 12V and I assumed that it would only be one... So I started to follow the wires and finaly I dessided with would be the one conected to the door breakers and after some hours of dissmonting and measuring it just started to work again. So now I have put everything back in place and I have WORKING LIGHTS AGAIN... :)

as long as it works it doesn't matter how or why
