searching for a transmission.

i have a '94 XLT automatic.... so the worst transmissions known to Ford is in it. this is the 3rd time in... 5 years(?) that this truck has needed a rebuilt or replaced transmission. i was wondering how do i find a better one(that is cheap and reliable). note: i am on a tight budget right now. any help at all would be great right now. thanks.

Convert to manual. My trans is over 18 years old.

i was thinking about that. but what trans will bolt up to my engine? and keep in mind (my tight budget) haha

The M5OD will bolt up, check the junkyards for a donor truck.

Youll need to find a fairly intact M5OD truck to use....youll need alot of the tranny parts. Pedal assembly...etc.

see thats what i cant find. all my local yards crushed everything last month. but thanks and anyone know a good place to get trans parts?
