Does anyone know if the Gen3 Explorer XLT is prewired for heated seats? Is it possible to buy the heated seat pads and place them under the leather covers on top of the seat cushions in the front and have a preinstalled wiring pigtail to plug in? Of course there would need to be a pigtail for installing the button controls on the dash. I could not find this in my wiring diagrams in a Chiltons book. I have seen some after market kits on the internet-- are they easier to install?

Ford uses jumper wires all over the Ex. Usually, all you need is the jumper wire and its plug 'n play. Seats, are the exception. Nothing is pre ran for them, including the fused portion at the fuse box.

Just google, heated seat kit. They are everywhere. Fairly easy to install
