Security System install, what is LOT mode?

Hello to all

Soon I´ll be installing a factory Ford security system. In the instructions there is an option to solder some wires so the alarm would be in LOT MODE, anyone knows what does that mean?

I think "Lot Mode" is referring to a mode you put the alarm in if it is going to sit in a parking lot for some time. It probably changes the sensitivity so it doesn't go off all the time at the slightest vibration...

This is not a mode that you put, it´s something permanent and hard wired.

I have theories of my own but I need hard and actual facts of how this LOT MODE works.
