Did anyone install a backup camera in their Ford Explorer PIU? I initially thought mine came with a camera, as I saw a blue screen in the rearview 'MIRROR' , but it had been removed. Now, could someone please tell me which plug or wires on the liftgate are associated with the backup camera?
Thank you!!

Here is what I did

This video is great and very easy to understand, but I have a factory camera, not an aftermarket one. I'm almost ready to proceed, but I still need to locate the wires. Thanks, Richey!

Can someone please help?
Which wires or plugs should I use? And the reverse camera I have has a spray washer.

Fortunately, the worst is over!!

I beleive the wiring is not present for the camera if it was not equipped from factory. You would have to get all the wring from a donor vehicle all the way from the camera to the BCM.

Ok, but my rearview mirror has a display screen.

ok I believe, I'm on the right way, I see the harness that comes with a camera and my harness are same part number, but I haven't found the plug yet.

And I have a question, does matter the colour of the barcode part number?

I would have to check, but I think the camera is in the same loom as the license plate lights isn't it?

Can you please stop marking your question posts as "How to:" that is not at all what a "How to:" thread is for.

As the thread starter, you can remove the "How To" by clicking on

and selecting "Edit thread."
A more proper way to title the thread would be;

The "How To' tag is used when an instructional thread is posted on a topic.

Thank you so much, guys! I tried to learn this before, but I found it a bit challenging.

I was posting in the wrong thread all this time, and nobody could inform me. Oh well, I shouldn't have expected so much. 🤔🤣

Thank you again for your help now!
