Does anyone know if a Ford style (mounted with a band) TMPS sensor draws any current while it is sitting on the shelf or is it discharging the battery from the day it is manufactured? I know they don't consume power to transmit unless they are moving or stimulated by the TMPS-19 Training Tool.
The reason I ask is that there are several vendors on eBay selling new Ford style TMPS sensors. I just wonder if these are sensors which have sat on a shelf for a while, shortening their useful life.
Any thoughts?
