So today I noticed if I press the brake while in park (and only in park) I get a thump and my shifter shakes.

Googling this shows it's probably caused by the shift lock solenoid.

I popped open the hidden access hatch in the center front compartment, and yes, I can see that solenoid move when I press the brake and it's causing the shake.

Does this mean that something is failing and/or on the way out? Or maybe that I need to re-grease something? I've never noticed this until today (and I've been driving this vehicle for over 2 years)

Thanks in advance.

I can't say for sure but I think that is normal. I've noticed that sort of thing before on my previous 2017 Platinum. Sound comes from the shifter area but I can't say I noticed the shaking part. It is likely the interlock releasing the shifter.
