New to this forum, so if I am putting this thread in the wrong spot, let me know.
I am starting a restore/conversion of a 2000 Explorer XLT V8 to a semi light-offroad vehicle and normal on road use (back and forth to work). I am looking for a great set of shocks, but not something that is real expensive. Prefer to be under 100 a piece for the front. Any suggestions?
I am also looking to lift the explorer only about 2" and wanted to know if the blocks I have seen online are decent enough for that small of a lift. Yes, I know that is not alot, but the wife will freak if I go any higher.
My other delma/issue is that this explorer has the compressor in the rear and the air shocks to level the vehicle with heavy loads. Will the block kit for lifting this truck screw up the works or not? Any suggestions on the rear shocks?
I am also going to put a bull bar (if I can find one), skid plates, etc.... on this vehicle.
thanks,
