My Ex needs all 4 shocks replaced and since I'm at school and have no real good place to do it myself (plus its snowy and cold), I've gotta pay somebody to do it. I've been calling around and got anywhere from almost $600 from Ford ($200 labor, $360 for the Ford shocks, I know that's insane) and I just got an offer of $38.50 per shock for Monroes installed. That was by far the lowest so I went for it; how's that sound to all of you? Thanks

I don't know about the rest of the U.S but here in Cali, Sears is offering free instalation with their shocks until the 15 of Feb.

With the monroe sensatrac shocks and everything needed for them to go on it would cost 172.00 with a life time limited warr. I'm not sure if the shocks are any good as I haven't really done enough research on it.

I think I will be getting that deal soon though.

i know sears usually has sales with shocks installed for around $40/each. so it sounds good. the ford price rediculous. dont go to the dealer for routine replacemnts like this.

go to sears and get some ranchos they are great

Sounds very good to me specially if the money is tight. You can't go wrong with that price.

Sears does typically have free installation or just various sales on any given day.

I stopped by sears today and got some prices on shocks, the lady told me 39.99 for the Monroe sensatrac's a piece plus $115 installation per pair. I thought to myself yeah what a deal. I asked her if they were running any specials and she said no. I inquired the total again and she told me $171.95 for all 4 installed.

well I'm not very good at math but I'll take the latter deal. I think she was confused. I was so confused when I got home as to what she told me I called back and got the price for all four. $171.95 for the monroes and $192.95 for the Rancho 5000's.

I'm not sure how $49.95 per shock x 4 equals 192 but who cares.

$115 for installation on each pair!? Or is that each pair including installation? I put my own on for free!
