The local Ford garage replaced the rear shocks in my 2000 Mountaineer with Motorcraft Sure Tracker gas charged shocks a little while ago. Now, I'm ready to replace the fronts and want to use Bilstein heavy duty shocks. (Wish Ford would have done Bilsteins in the rear - warranty work.) The question is: By having the stiffer Bilsteins in the front will that cause any cornering issues? I'm thinking that an increased oversteer may result. If this is true would it increase the potential for roll over in evasive maneuvers? Would it be better to stay with the Motorcraft shocks for the front? Again, your input is appreciated. Thanks.
