Simple Basic mods

1.Are expensive sparkplugs worth it? When I bought my o4 I mentioned I
might put in some Bosch 4 prongs and the ford guy said "thats not neccesary
this engine is built around this spark plug"..weerd huh?

2.Im using mobil 1 supersyn 15,000 mile oil and the mobil one filter, I change it
every 10,000 miles. smart or dumb?

3. Looks like the KKR is the way to go for intake. But i want to extend the tube
down in front for cold ram air. Doable or dumb?

4. Dual the pipes from the cat(s) back (there are 2 correct?)


Any expert opinions on what these steps add in HP, or mpg if I keep my foot
out of it?

1) Motorcraft Platinum nothing else

2) fine. I use Mobil 1 full synth every 5k

3) visit www.explorerexpress.com and see if they have a MAC intake for your Ex. Very pretty

4) not sure on the 04 I believe that is correct though.

Intake, then exhaust, then www.bamachip.com

A tip on spark plugs - the 4 electrode plugs are worthless - why? The spark has to jump and it'll jump to only ONE electrode. The only benefit I'd see would be more choices for the current to jump to, but to fit all four electrodes, they are smaller.
