I did the MAS cleaning thingie along with changing my plugs for the ones you guys recommend. And, I also tried to find that dam vacuum leak...no luck.
I did the MAF, then looked for the vacuum leak, and then changed the plugs. All six plugs looked great, I maybe didn't need to change them. After I changed the plugs... it wouldn't start!!! I figured I must have disconnected something blah blah blah. After about an hour of pissing around I went to the code reader... code 542...mmmm....no gas....mmmm...no fuel pump noise when I turn the key...mmm...INERTIA SWITCH...pushed the button and verooooom!!!
Please explain how the dam inertia switch can activate while changing the plugs!!! I haven't had my head under any the hood in years and this kinda thing is making think...maybe I shouldn't LOL
I also tested a couple sensors. The TPS sensor Vsource voltage was low... 4.80volts Is there a was to adjust this voltage to 5.0 volts? At WOT the sensor only reads 4.6volt instead of 5.0volts.
The MAS sensor read alittle high at idle .9 volts and only increased to 1.2volts. After I cleaned it...it increased to 2.7 volts. A definite improvement.
The code scanner was giving me codes of 15 and 18 before the today's work. I'm going to reset the computer and let it start fresh.
I would like to thank you guys for your input! I greatly appreciate it. I am glad I found this forum. I hope my jetboater forum is as successful as this one!
