I've gotten mixed answers so far. Im waiting on delivery on an 06 Mountaineer with Nav. There is no SAT button for Sirius, although ive heard from different sources that it is a feature with these new units, as a dealer installed option.

I beleive the unit is the new Pioneer system. Any ideas of verification of this compatability?

That press release is what's making me think ot has it or at least the option of it. When i did the Test Frive, while the NAV wasn't active and there were no buttons to indicate that there was SIRIUS Compatability.

ok with the 06s you HAVE to order it with siruis and that option will not be availale until nov/dec, and you can not retrofit it in there like on the older modles <06, so if you dont order it with it your not gonna get it integrated, ive tried twice to integrate it and it has bneen unsuccessful. the HUs a re made my pioneer not visteon so there isnt a kit out yet, maybe next year?

There never was the option. I had $1000 in owner loyalty to use by a certain date and the car was already on order from the factory. I never gave it much thought when we ordered the car. If anything, ill go with a portable unit with FM transmitter, although running another antenna sucks.

So, is what you're saying is there is no backward compatibility with Sirius? Maybe that’s why there are offering the $1,250 discount on the Nav/Moonroof option.

Having both XM and Sirius previously, I have found Sirius to be the better product. But with stupid tricks like this by Ford, Chrysler and BMW , and GM and Honda putting XM radios in every single car regardless if someone wants it is why they have so many more subscribers.
