Skyjacker Shocks

i want to lift the explorer.. i was wondering if they skyjacker hydraulic shocks are a good idea.

Sure.
You need to decided what type of lift & how high your going 1st.
Then search the forum for feedback on the type of shocks your looking at.

i want it to sit higher.. ill probably get the ones that are a 5-6in lift.. are the shocks all ill need??

if youre looking for lift, you need more than just shocks.

You need a lift kit of bigger springs, higher leaf springs, shackles etc. Just shocks do not give you any lift.
You should do some site searching on the subject. Maybe Google it & educate yourself on lifting.

oh i thought i just needed the shocks because the site i was going to get them from said that the shocks lift the front 5-6in and the rear 3-6 inches http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...viewitem=&item=230180795353&_trksid=p3907.m29

Yes it is a good product and im sure just search them on the internet and youll find someone who carries them but yea ive heard good things about them

Those are just the shocks you would use if your X was lifted 5-6". A lifted truck would need longer shocks.
