- '99 XLT (4x4, SOHC)
Hello,
I have a '99 SOHC XLT and have recently noticed a slight hesitation at about 35 mph (50 km/h) when accelerating on a street. It sort of feels like a rough transmission gear (jerks the car a bit and lasts less than a second), but I'm wondering if it may be due to the transfer case shifting between 4wd and 2wd (both the transfer case fluid and transmission fluid + filter were changed recently, about 1500 miles ago).
Ford currently has the truck for cam chains that are loose and need re-adjusting (on extended warranty that's about to expire), therefore I'd like to know if I should bring this up and ask to have it fixed. I read posts in here that suggested it may be normal transfer case operation, therefore I'd like to know for sure before I go back there and talk to their technicians. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
