I just did the lift spindle, torsion twist and SOA to my explorer. Looks pretty damn sweet on the 33's. after i did the soa i moved the u-bolt mounting plate (where the shocks attach to) to the other side and fliped them. I hooked the shocks back up to them, but since the mounting plates are on the top of the axle and leaf spring it has compressed the shock so that it only has about 2" of upward travel. makes for a VERY bumpy ride. Is there a shorter shock that i can get? or is there somewhere else that i can mount the shock?

weld some shock mounting tabs directly to the axle tubes. Thats what i'm gonna do with my 9" :)

I've also heard of just welding a grade 8 bolt on the tube...but that falls in the "getto" class of mods for me haha

I would weld those on real quick. You hit some bumpy roads they way it is now that rear end could come around on you real easy. Not mentioning busting those shocks. You can go to http://www.gorancho.com/docs/2005_specifications.pdf to order shocks after you weld those tabs on.
