I think that everyone would respond more if a supercharger weren't so much money. I know that I would swoop one up in a second for my SOHC if it didnt cost a couple grand for a good one.
I've got a V8 so this doesn't really apply to me but does he have any sort of power numbers?? I would expect over 300HP before the alcohol injection on a SOHC. It doesn't look like too much of a modification over the bbk OHC kit. Maybe BBK will come out with a kit soon. I think a SOHC supercharger would go over much better than the OHC supercharger did bc there seem to be a lot more sport/lowered SOHCs. But we also have to take into consideration that there aren't a lot of explorer exthusiasts out there compared to the total number of explorers. Most people buy explorers bc they're trendy, or they have a family, or they think they need a truck. Most people don't buy Explorers with the intention of modifying them. On the other hand 1 in every 2 chevys you see is modified in some way. (Now personally, i think this is bc chevys suck from the factory so you have to add to them to make them worthwhile....) But this is why Explorer aftermarket stuff is virtually non-existent compared to a lot of vehicles.
I talked to the guy, its not as expensive as ya might think. He said the blower to his door (brand new) was somethin like $1,200 and he did it himself for $2k or less. Thats more than a grand in your pocket compared to buying a kit.
i picked up a whole s/c courger car and motor for less then 500 bucks and it has a blower and injectors all ready to you should be able to find a blower fairly cheap in good condition. i am shure you could reproduce the install for similar price.
i have seen karkraft offer for sale brand new lighting blowers with intake manifolds for sale for 900 bucks. that is a brand new (new gen Eaton) just the one you need you guys mite want to start there you could even use the TB from the intake.

hey magic, I'm doing a similiar set up, and I was wondering how you got ahold of him. I was looking through his website and couldn't find an email address or anything. I can't seem to get a plenum fabbed for me, and that's the hardest part. Anyway, if you can get me an email address or some way I can contact the guy, that would be great. Thanks.
