I brought this up a while ago and was kind of ignored so here it goes again: Has anybody ever given this serious thought? I mean, if Toyota p/u's and 4Runners and Chevy s-10s can be transformed to solid axle rigs, why can't the 95+ Explorers and Rangers? I guess anything is possible for the right amount of $$, right? Dana 44s can be used and with enough know how and fabrication I don't see why it can be done....
I figured a Dana 44 could be used and then maybe a sprung under (or over) leaf packs. The cross member is pretty large so that might stand in the way but then again....
Any thoughts?
