Soon to be Explorer owner

Hey all, I see this is just like the TundraSolutions forum.

I've been looking around for something I can build into a "family" trail rig. Looks like the Explorer might just be the trick. -Tons of them used and cheap parts (relative to the Toyota's I've owned)

I'd like your opinion on which years will make the best candidate for a trail rig. Which years should I stay away from? I plan to modify the suspension a lot by swapping in a straight axle up front and coils in the rear, Atlas II, etc...

Any advice is appreciated!

you'll want a 91-94 i'd wager. probably the easiest solid axle swap, and if you dont feel like a swap a lift kit is pennies compared the the kit for the 95+ models.
