Although the problem is not ocurring now, I have a feeling it will come back. A couple weeks ago, my left rear speaker kept cutting out. It was most severe when I would hit bumps. Sometimes it would quit working all together. The problem would come and go.
Well, I put my HU myself about 6 months ago and reluctantly assumed that my wiring job was bad. I didn't have a chance to pull the HU right away. When I finally did have the chance, the problem had gone away but I wanted to check things out anyway.
I pulled the HU and tested the connections, nothing was bad. I even gave everything the shake test to simulate road bumps and it didn't have any effect.
I am stumped. It is working fine now, but there must be something wrong with it. Is that speaker blown? Will that cause it to intermittenly cut out? Anybody have an idea?
