I just want to thank both forum members. I was able to swap a complete long block, every nut and bolt with the help of both members. I asked 100 questions with zero complaints. You guys are beyond great, just really appreciate the help. My new engine fired up immediately. I really couldn't have done it without you two. If I can help in anyway, plumbing, funds, beer, just ask. Donald's= thanks so much, 8 pages of questions and your help was gold. 2000= appreciate your advice about my oil situation.
Lots of minor mistakes. For those attempting a long block swap, my advice is take LOTS of pictures, every angle, don't be a dummy like me and accidentally loosen crank bolt=it's TTY and had to replace. Make sure you put your exhaust manifold gasket on correctly= I had mine facing correctly but on wrong side so my plugs boot were blocked from being put on, remember to remove transmission jack BEFORE lowering engine, I was wondering why my engine was listing to one side. Pictures pictures pictures.
