Speed O Gear

Does any body know what speed o gear I need to run with 4.88s and 35s. Or maybe even where I can find a chart. Thanks RobbieJ

It would help to know what gears and speedo gear you had originally.

Each tooth speedo gear reduces speedo by 5%
Each size diff gear increases speedo by about 5%
Each 2" in tire diameter reduces speedo by about 5%

Very rough estimates.

Any idea what color gear I should be looking for? I'm running 4.88s and 35s. thanks Robbie

The color isn't accurate to go by since Ford changed the colors for various models. You'll need to count the teeth.

And I still can't help you since you didn't answer my questions. Need to know what diff gears and what speedo gear you had stock.

I still have the stock speedo gear and my stock gears were 3.73s I guess i'll have to take out the speedo gear and count the teeth thanks Robbie

Your speedo will be about 9-10% off, reading too fast. Since stock they have a tendency to read a little fast also, go for a speedo gear with 2 more teeth than stock.

Same exact gear that the 4.56's and 33's run.

It's the black, 21 tooth gear.
