I have a 93 X, my MPH is off by 5 if i'm going 45mph im really going 50. I have 3.27 gears and 32 in tires. I've been doing searches on this and I need a new speedometer gear, but i don't know what size (teeth)(19?) what is my stock one? My tranny shifts a bit different now, I drive with a higher RPM now before it shifts because the speedo thinks i am going slower? If i change the speedo gear and am doing the correct speed will it shift better? Or do i have to change the differential gears for that? if that is the case are 4.10's what i want? sorry for all the Q's

There is a gear in the t-case you have to change. I dont think there is any sure fire way to figure out which one you need its more trail and error. as far as getting 4.10s theyll make the truck accelerate better with the larger tires but you'll loose fuel economy. also regearing will also put the motor back into its proper power band after getting larger tires.

If you stay with your current differential gears you'll need a speedo gear with one less tooth than your current one. No way to know what you have now unless you look.
