Good morning, I've a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Baurer, 4.0, V6, 115K miles. 1st Issue: hearing intermittent squeakng noise, seems to be coming from right rear. Currently had ujoints replaced, new pinion seal, new rear rotors and new right rear toe link; Still hearing intermittent squeaking sound especially when driving across low spots in roads at 25+ mph and hearing while just driving down the road at low speed with rear windows down. Has any of you experienced this issue with your EX and if so, how did you resolve it? Could this be the stablizer bushings/strut mounts/struts/coil springs? There is no visible oil leakage on the struts and i would think if the struts were bad I would hear the noise more often. Overall, the vehicle is riding great.

2nd issue: Hearing noise at front end when crossing bumps in road. Currently replaced upper control arms and had aligned. Lower Balljoints looks fine; no sign of damage on rubber seals. Could the problem be stabilizer bar bushings/links and or struts mounts, bushings/struts? No sign of leakage at struts.

Would appreciate any responses on any of your experience with these issues?

I have the same issue BUT my rear right toe link boot is shot.......

This front end noise is common when the stabilizer bar bushings need replacing. Easy job to do yourself but remember to lift up the front of the vehicle equally on each side to take the pressure off of the bar.

Spray some wd 40 on the sway bar frame bushings to verify and see if it goes away...

I just replaced mine (rear right toe link) last weekend and still hearing the dang squeaking. very agrravating. It's like guessing what part is the culprit. I'm curious as to is it the parking brake shoes or rear end. I had the pinion bearings and pinion yoke replaced at 94000 miles, or should i say 20.000 miles ago; cost nearly $1500 and had to take back to Ford twice before they got it right. This will be the lst/last one I buy.

What is the best way to make sure they are bad? jack up vehicle to see if can move the stabilizer bar with hand? I looked beneath it last evening to observe stabilizer links and to see if I could move them; course I didn't jack it up; one appeared very rusty.........i seen the orange dust (got that idea from Eric-Car-Guy), around the one on the driver side. Are these expensive parts? I would think so? I did find that there is noise on the passenger front when pressing down on the vehicle. Does this mean bad right front strut or what? Thanks

I will definitely do that; However, this noise is quite loud when crossing a dip in the road at relatively high speed; sound as if someting is loose; I will raise it up in the air and check all front end parts that hadn't already been replaced and use the WD 40. Curious about lower balljoints/struts also; they have never been replaced but there are no signs of leakage.

The stabilizer bar isn't loose at all. Shouldn't the stabilizer bar be loose if the bushings are bad. It was tested while sitting on Jack Stands. Please explain the logic!
