Squeaky Left Lower Driver's Door Hinge

The lower hinge on the driver's door of my 2007 Explorer has developed a squeaky, groaning noise as it is opened. It's the version of the hinge with the cylinder on the lower part of the hinge. It appears that the cylinder is some sort of a detent which holds the door open and that's where the noise is emanating from. I've used various lubricants with no luck.

Any ideas on lubricating this hinge?

Lubricate the inner area of the detent cylinder, spray lubricate on and into the pad the cylinder rides on, and spin/rotate the detent cylinder a few degrees... That should solve it for awhile.
