Hello everyone,

I have a 99 4x4 explorer 4'' Suspension lift + 3" body lift with 33x12.5 mickey thompsons baja claws, 10 inch rims. Ever since i lifted the explorer i have had this squeeky noise coming from the front of the explorer. I took it back to the place that lifted my truck and they could not find the source of the squeek. They said first it was the drive shaft, so they oiled it and the squeek was still there. They still cannot find the problem. Anyone else had this problem?? Also, is there a book out there about basic 4x4 problems for idiots like me? I guess i lifted it and me nor my husband know's much about anything about lifted trucks!!! Need help fast!!!!!

hey welcome to the site.. there are many things that go squeek and bump in front of vehicles, especially explorers... use the Search feature of the site and im sure you'll fine plenty of articles discussing squeeks..

if the u-joints are going bad., then oiling it up wont really do anything except maybe mask the problem ... heres a recent thread on u-joints:

i had a squeek in my explorer too except it was the rear driveshaft's u-joint.. i posted my 2 cents in the link above (mine is post #6 in the thread)..
