squeeky springs? 2001 exp 4x4

i have a 2001 expl..4x4...sport...93k on it...has a squeeky noise in area u turn wheel in front...and sometimes going down the road..doesnt sound to bad ...like typical squeeky bed springs or something....eeee..eeee...common problem? what should i do....hit some areas with wd40 but do they need real grease? can i do it myself?

Check you lower ball joint and your outer tie rod.
