Air bag light staying on/ Flashing
What’s the deal with this is there any drama if I just ignore it for 1 week, until I get back from my trip I will be driving the car just about every day, 30% will be of off-road work.
Doesn’t bother me if there is a fault in the system
, just as long as the airbags don’t spontaneously go off or cause any other problems with vehicle operation.
What happened.
It all started when I pulled the battery last night and put it on the charger overnight and tested it in the morning with the hydrometer to see how strong it was.
I then put it back in the Explorer and when I started it the airbag light wouldn’t go off, so I reset the computer and restarted the Explorer agene and the light still wouldn’t go off, it just stays on and flashers randomly. So how the F**k the system can get a fault when the X hasn’t been driven and has had the battery disconnected for 24hrs is beyond me :fire: .
If I get a chance I will get Ford to run the code before I leave but I don’t think I will have time.
Any advice on what it may be, and is anything going to go wrong if I just continue driving it around, it’s going to have 2000k’s Minimum put on it in the next week and some of it I could be unto 200k’s or more from the nearest town/ roadhouse.
