SRS (airbag) fault code

Hi,
I have a 97 Explorer with an SRS airbag fault code of 12. This flashes when I start the vehicle. I need to correct this and clear it for safety inspection. Would appreciate any help before taking it in.

Hello, appreciate the views, but I did find the info on code 12, interupted voltage flow to the airbag system. The first thing was to check the fuses and the fuse in the engine compartment had blown, why I don't know, probably just a power surge. After putting a new fuse, I got a code 52 flashing on the dashboard. I checked out this code and it says a voltage drop under 8 vdc. and no other problems. Took my 4x4 for its safety inspection and the mechanic did not even mention the code flashing. So, it did not affect my safety nor is it something to worry about. In time just find the connector to erase the code. Hope this is a helper.

I had the exact same codes, same fuse. Light flashed for a few months until it finally passed it's 256th self-test.
