Problem #1 I let my wife drive my truck yesterday :burnout:

Result..... I go to start the truck (2002 Explorer XLT AWD 4.0L), it turns over no problem, starts, oh wait no it didnt....

It is weird, it will start and run or act like it runs until I release the key then nothing. No stumble, no stutter, nothing, doesnt act like its just turning over it acts like it has started, it doesnt stumble while attempting to start, nothing odd, it just acts like its perfect till I release the key then its quiet as a church mouse like I never turned the key.:dunno:

It is about 5 degrees out -12 wind chill right now (been colder) so I wont be out there working on it now, but looking for info on where to begin when the time comes.

HELP....

Maybe a bad switch, when you turn the key on, just before turning all the way to hit the starter, do the dash lights and everything power on?

Yes dash, lighting internal and external, everything seemed normal besides the thing did what I listed (that I noticed).

Ok I took a little video, you will have to adjust your volume up to hear my truck try to start, I end up talking part way through and it will be loud so maybe watch one time through first to set your speaker volume accordingly.

Update....

I start truck keep pedal down to keep rpms up and after a short time it idles.

Maybe iced fuel lines?

There were no codes either when I did a scan.

Well just an update....

I got a couple bottles or HEET, truck was below 1/4 tank, put 2 bottles in while idling at gas station, set up pump, filled tank and so far truck has started every time.

I think it was this gas station over here had a bunch of water in their lines, pump was pumping real slow so I went to station across street after only pumpin .85 cents of fuel.

Only put in a few dollars across street, guess that will teach me, stick with Shell or BP
