Started my install - 04 Eddie Bauer

Area is being fiberglass for 4 10" Memphis shallow mount subs. Rainbow Germanium components up front. 2 Boston Acoustics GT-24s to run the components and subs

I've done installs using the entire cargo area in my previous explorers. I've always regretted not having my cargo room. Thought I'd try something a little different this time

yea thyats true, the huge boxs ive been through usallly are a pest when i need to haul other things, i have a biggg problem with my whole car raddleing, my back is deadened but the plastic still shakes like crazy

Got some more work done today...however I didn't get as much as I'd like. It started to rain a while ago...and I got caught up using some swirl remover this morning.

I'm slightly underpowering them (300 watts total). Nothing I can't live with

That was my 03 XLT. Someone ran me off the road about 8 months ago and subsequently led to the totally of that Explorer. However, I got those gauges off of Ebay.

Well I am going to chalk this one up as a work in progress. I have it all hook up, but I'm going to tinker with it for a while. I still have to figure out an acceptable spot for the amps...

throw some carpet on the top of that box and it will look amazing. nice work. what are you going to do to protect the subs from objects in the cargo area? grills? what type if so?

Well, I'm actually debating on recessing the subs or not. As far as grills go, JL has some grills that will fit these subs...but they are far from attractive. Soo, I'm not sure.

where dud you wire the power wire for the amps. I have a 2004 ford explorer limited and i would prefer not to drill. if you could show me pictures of how you did it it would be great

I'll see if I can't get you some pictures tonight. However, drilled through the firewall in the bottom left corner.
