Hi,

I'm at my wits end and hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I went to leave in my truck last week and it started up fine... then I backed out of my drive way... as the truck backed into the road, it died and has refused to start since.

Issue: starter cranks but the engine won't fire up.

Fuel Pump: Good (replaced brand new) : Verified it's pumping fuel.
Fuel Filter: Good (replaced brand new): Verified fuel is getting through it.
Spark: Spark seems to be good. (Shocked myself looking to see that the spark plugs were creating spark. :-) )
Anti-Theft: The Anti-Theft light "IS NOT" blinking as I try to start the truck.
Fuel Cut Off: I checked the fuel cutoff switch and it is NOT off. I tested it's functionality with a light smack to
make sure it would pop and could then be reset.
Fuses and Relays for Pump, Ignition, Starter: All seem to be good.
Air: the air filter is clean and free of debris.

I'm not sure what else to check for... as I said, the engine initially started as normal with no indication that there was an issue, and I was able to back out of my driveway before the engine just up and died.

I've checked all the obvious stuff.

What else should I check???

I appreciate the help...

Chris

Sorry so late, just found this. I would stilllean towards a PATS issue. During normal operation the PATS light blinks at slow rate when key on. If key not recognized, it blinks rapidly, and no crank f engine. What situation do you have? imp

Crankshaft sensor will stop it dead like that

Compression?
Have u given it a shot of starting fluid?
