Today I noticed that it was getting a little harder to turn the wheel. I think it might be the ball joint but I don?t know. When I turn a corner it gets hard to turn and holds it their and then easy to turn again, when turning back the wheel stops at the same point when it was hard to turn. I can?t figure is out any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

is it low on power steering fluid?

That?s the first thing I checked. But it?s toped up

What's the condition of the tires?

How is the steering shaft? Take it off and move the u-joint around to see if it moves freely. Two 13mm bolts. One on top near the firewall and one up from the steering box (get at it by laying in front of the truck). I had mine out the other day and the u-joint seemed to a have a "dead spot" in it.
Just a suggestion.

Mascman, i dont live far from you.... you up for getting together and wheeling sometime?

94EBexplorer - I'm still babying my Explorer! I'm not into hardcore wheeling...I gotta' drive this thing to work! I saw those pictures on your Website...Beasty!
Where do you wheel? Do they have pussy trails? I would check them out on the buggy before I'd take the X on them. Can you give me directions? I'm not against wheeling, it's just that I have little self control and things get expensive that way!
I have a 2000 KTM 250 and a small dune buggy for me and my daughter. The Explorer is my way to tow them out to play.
See Ya,
Mike
